In the dry season, elephant herds of 200à300 individuals converge daily on this river à the only permanent water source for hundreds of kilometres à and the scene of these vast gatherings beneath the ancient trees is one of the most elemental wildlife spectacles on Earth. A full day here delivers an experience most safari guests never see, because Tarangire is consistently overlooked in favour of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. That oversight is your advantage.
