Everything you need to know before booking a Tanzania day trip with Haven Trails Adventures.

All day trip prices include private 4WD transport, a dedicated expert guide, park or site entrance fees, and a packed picnic lunch for full-day trips. Water and snacks are also provided. International flights and personal travel insurance are not included.

Most trips depart from Arusha or Moshi, depending on the destination. We collect you from your hotel or guesthouse and return you there in the evening. Exact pick-up times are confirmed at booking. Typically between 6:00-7:30 AM.

Absolutely. Our day trips are designed to mix and match across multiple days. If you're spending 3-5 days in the Arusha or Moshi area, we'll build you a tailored sequence of day adventures with the right pacing. Active hikes balanced with game drives and relaxed lake days.

Most of our day trips. Including all game drives, lakes and cultural visits. Require minimal fitness. The Materuni Waterfall hike involves 2-3 hours of moderate walking on forest trails. The Kilimanjaro Day Trip requires a reasonable fitness level as it involves a full day of uphill hiking to ~2,700m. We always advise on fitness requirements at booking.

Yes. Both Chemka (Kikuletwa) and Lake Chala are considered safe for swimming and are popular destinations for this purpose. Our guides will brief you on any conditions on arrival. We do not recommend swimming at Lake Duluti due to wildlife in the water but canoeing is safe and wonderful.

All Haven Trails day trips are private by default. Your vehicle, your guide, your schedule. We do not place you in a shared group trip with strangers. For those seeking a shared group option at a lower price, please ask our team. We can sometimes arrange this on popular routes.
