The best times to climb Kilimanjaro are January–March and June–October. These months offer the clearest skies, most stable weather, and the highest summit success rates. December and early January can also be excellent. We advise avoiding April, May, and November due to heavy rainfall.

Kilimanjaro requires no technical climbing skills — it is a trek, not a climb. The main challenge is altitude. With proper acclimatisation (which our longer routes provide), most reasonably fit adults can summit successfully. Haven Trails achieves a 98.5% summit success rate through careful route selection and expert guidance.

All our packages include accommodation (camping or lodge), all park and conservation fees, transportation in 4WD safari vehicles or on mountain, all meals and drinking water during the trek/safari, experienced KINAPA-certified guides, porters (on Kilimanjaro), and a private emergency contact line. International flights and visas are not included.

Absolutely. We welcome solo travellers warmly. You can join one of our group departures to share costs and companionship, or book a fully private safari or trek. Many of our most memorable experiences come from solo adventurers who discover the freedom of Africa on their own terms.

Group departures require just a $100 USD deposit to reserve your place, with the balance payable on arrival in Tanzania. Private tours require a 30% deposit to confirm your booking. We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, and other secure methods.
